ThreeDots is made from all natural ingredients. Our special blend of botanicals (also known as adaptogens) include ginseng, ashwagandha and lemon balm.  These work together with 15mg of CBD to help stabilize our physiological processes and promote homeostasis within the body.

It's sparkling water imbued with wellbeing, and we're here to share it with you!

Our botanicals (otherwise known as adaptogens) are not only good for you, but make you feel great too. They have been used for centuries in Chinese and Ayurvedic healing traditions to help the body resist stressors of all kinds. By working at a molecular level to stabilize our internal regulators, adaptogens essentially ‘hack’ the stress responses in the body. On the whole, they help to bring us back into balance - which is what ThreeDots is all about.

We found our blend of ashwagandha, lemon balm, and ginseng to be the most effective. Read more about each of them below…

Our botanicals:

Ashwagandha possesses anti-stress, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and rejuvenating properties. It has also been shown to have a positive influence on the endocrine and central nervous systems and may support immune health.

Asian Ginseng has been used for centuries to improve general well-being, physical stamina, anxiety, depression and concentration. The root of Asian Ginseng contains chemical components called ginsenosides that are thought to contribute to the herb’s health properties.

Lemon Balm is a modulator of mood and cognitive function.  It contains an enzyme called rosmarinic acid, which increases GABA (gamma amino-butyric acid) in the brain. This inhibitory neurotransmitter is used by the brain to prevent over-excitement and help attain balance, thereby helping to reduce anxiety.

CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-psychoactive compound in a class called ‘cannabinoids’ which occur naturally in the hemp plant, among other plants. It has been shown to decrease anxiety, relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and ease stress, inducing homeostasis within the body. People who consume CBD regularly have described its effect to be calming for both the mind and body and research has shown significant potential for CBD to contribute to mental and physical health.

Cannabinoids are a group of fatty compounds found in the hemp plant (phytocannabinoids) as well as the human body (endocannabinoids). Cannabinoids have been described as “antioxidants and neuroprotectants” by the US Department of Health and Human Services. These powerful compounds are essential for the normal functioning of the immune and central nervous system.

Cannabinoids work by acting on the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), a network of cannabinoid receptors in the cells of our brain, organs, glands, connective tissues and immune cells. The ECS controls stress response and immune function (and most other things that cause health and lifestyle problems in people today). It is hypothesised that the ECS acts as a “dimmer switch” helping modulate brain activity and mood - offering a “full body massage at the molecular level”.

By fitting into the ECS receptors like pieces of a puzzle, cannabinoids such as CBD may repair damaged cells and help provide a state of internal stability. The endocannabinoid system responds both to cannabinoids that our body naturally produces, and phytocannabinoids, like CBD, that we consume.

CBD helps to regulate the functioning of the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS). As it enters the body, CBD attaches to receptors in the ECS and acts to restore the body’s internal balance. CBD is well known for helping you feel balanced by reducing the feeling of being overwhelmed, allowing you to stay positive and handle whatever the day throws your way.

Each ThreeDots drink contains 15mg of CBD (cannabidiol). While dosage is largely subjective, for us, 15mg is the perfect amount - high enough to contribute towards a better lifestyle but low enough to enjoy multiple ThreeDots a day. There is no magic dose, and CBD has been shown to have a more cumulative effect the more often you take it.

ThreeDots is made from water solubilized broad spectrum hemp extract. In order to be as transparent as possible, we publish independent lab reports from each batch of our CBD on our website. Click here to view and download our Certificates of Analysis to check the CBD quality for yourself!

The cannabis plant contains hundreds of phytochemicals including cannabinoids, terpenes and other compounds. Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract contains all of these powerful elements, but without any THC (the psychoactive cannabinoid known to get you 'high').

Broad Spectrum Extract is minimally refined and leaves most of the cannabinoids and terpenes intact, providing more of the plant molecules in the ratios and amounts that nature intended. There are indications that the different cannabinoids and terpenes work together and amplify each others effects, in what’s known as the ‘entourage effect’.

Full spectrum extract contains all of these elements too, but also THC. CBD isolate, however, only contains CBD and non of the other phtyochemicals that nature provided.

No, it will not get you ‘high’.

In the United Kingdom, CBD products are legal so long as they contain less than 0.2% THC (the better known psychoactive cannabinoid that does get you ‘high’). Our Broad Spectrum Extract contains 0% THC, which you can verify by taking a look at the independent lab reports from each batch on our website.

To ensure we use the highest quality CBD, ThreeDots has partnered with companies that are committed to providing ethically sourced, high quality water soluble Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract. The hemp from our CBD is grown in Colorado and processed according to our specific needs, after which it is shipped directly to our manufacturers in Europe.

We know, things are confusing, there is a lot or terminology out there and it's hard to make sense of it all.  We're here to explain.

Firstly, if the label says Hemp Seed Oil, or Cannabis Sativa Oil, it's not CBD. Think of it like sesame oil, but from the cannabis plant.

If the label reads Hemp Extract, Cannabidiol, or Cannabis Sativa Extract, there is CBD.

Cannabidiol is just the fancy name for CBD - one of over 100 cannabinoids found in the Hemp (or Cannabis Sativa) plant. Hemp contains a much higher percentage of CBD and only trace amounts of THC, which is why CBD is typically extracted from the Hemp plant (and also known as hemp extract).

According to the World Health Organization’s recent 2018 study, CBD has not been shown to have negative effects on the body regardless of the amount consumed. CBD has also not been shown to have any addictive properties.

The NHS have prepared a useful Q&A document to highlight any possible adverse effects or interactions with prescribed or other medicines. We want to ensure you have the best possible experience with our products and that you are confident with anything you purchase from ThreeDots.

Click here to access the NHS Q&A article to find out more about any potential interactions between CBD and your own prescribed medicines. However, we always recommend you contact your doctor if this is a concern.

Most drug tests do not test for the compound CBD. CBD is also not on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) list of prohibited substances. However, we always recommend you consult your doctor or employer if this is a concern.

ThreeDots is available across the United Kingdom in cafés, natural food stores, coffee shops, gyms, restaurants and hotels. We’re constantly adding new locations so keep a look-out for us on the shelves!
